I have been employed for 22 years as a Spanish as a second language instructor at the University of Guadalajara and Autonomus University of Guadalajara, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. My assignment in that department was not solely to teach Spanish, but also involved helping students to get a grasp of Mexican culture and social behaviors in day-to-day situations. The program at my school involved complete linguistic immersion. Most of the students lived with Mexican families, which helped them develop their language skills by communicating with native speakers and allowed them to ask questions about day-to-day language use, which help me prepare and refine my classes. Each class was based on a grammatical topic, developed communicative approaches to situations and was supported by cultural and specialized material.

I should be considered for the following reasons:

• My excellent ability to teach students of any cultural and linguistic background, trying to understand the interference their native language has in the Spanish learning process.
• My ability, developed over fourteen years, to produce educational materials for each topic and practice or reinforcement exercises, notably for standard tests, such as the DELE exam.
• My ability to identify the needs and weaknesses of students in specific subjects, at their own level, resolving their doubts and confusions.
• My endless interest and enjoyment of the language teaching process, which benefits the students and the school.
• My successful experience in communication, organizational and classroom management skills.
